We are always so grateful each year to the Kootenay Savings Centralized Lending Dept. who thinks of us every Credit Union Day. This is the 5^th year in a row that we received their generous donation. This year’s donation is $402.00.

New Registrations welcome

We are accepting new registrations for children, in grades 2 to 7, that need a safe space after school.  Phone us, or stop in during our open hours, if you are interested.

First Day of School!

The first day of school in Trail is quickly approaching on Tuesday September 3rd!  This will be an early dismissal day so we will be open early for children who need to come to Sanctuary by school bus. 

Now Open 1pm to 6:30pm Mon to Friday!

Sanctuary Preteen Centre is open this summer from July 15 until August 30th, weekdays from 1:00 pm to 6:30 pm. 

We offer snack, supper at 5pm and a variety of activities in our air conditioned facility. We also take children for bike rides, to parks and do other outdoor activities, weather permitting.  Come check us out!  Participation is free!

Open Regular Hours

We are open 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm on school days

Current extra activities at Sanctuary, (with volunteers):
 Mondays - pottery and park walks
 Tuesdays - sewing or tennis lessons, (tennis will start in May)
 Wednesdays - park time (alley hockey is popular!)
 Thursdays - park nights after dinner
 Fridays - puppet making

 Everyday we have games, crafts, movies, computer time, pool, great snacks and hot supper.  New children are always welcome!

Easter Hours

We are closed Good Friday and Easter Monday.  

We are having our Easter egg hunt on Thursday this year!

We now have Gym Night every Thursday after supper from 5:30 to 7:00pm.

Open regular hours

We are open this winter 2:30 to 7:30 pm on week days.

We have a couple new volunteers that do art and crafts with the children that come spend time with us.  It has been fantastic!

Closed July & August

We're closing over the Summer for the first time in 20 years (and hopefully the last).  Between this and the Alley Bash, we will be caught up financially.  A fresh start in September with a new Coordinator: Leanne DeBasio.

ProD day hours

Friday May 18th is a ProD day, so as usual, Sanctuary will be open from 1PM to 6:30PM.

Gym Night

Our last Gym night until the Fall is on April 10th.  After that, we're in the Park :)

No Pottery in January

Our pottery volunteer is off visiting Grandchildren. She will be back in February.

Christmas Dinner

Our Christmas Dinner for Sanctuary Families will be on Dec. 17th at 3PM.  It's always a lot of fun, so come if you can :)

Harding Heights Ranch

Our visits to Harding Heights for Horse riding will be hopefully be running as much as possible this
fall.  Make sure you get a new permission slip in if you're interested.

Summer Hours

Our summer hours start on Monday, July 17.  Regular hours continue through the end of June.

Easter :)

We're closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday.  On the Thursday we will have a traditional Easter Dinner following an Easter Egg hunt.
